SEEKERS MEETS AGAIN!!

Seekers will meet the fourth and first Wednesdays of the month from 6:30-7:30 pm. Here is the information for topics, homework and readings for the next two sessions:

Wednesday, September 27th the discussion centers around individual expectations regarding what the New Testament says about money and possessions.

Our last session on the connection between faith and money was thought-provoking, with participants encouraged to considered one’s personal connection between faith and money, how we live and to consider how one’s life might change if one lived as much as possible according to Jesus’ position about faith and money.

Wednesday, October 4th we delve into personal blessings.

Thank you for your flexibility in scheduling!  We are a busy congregation, but I sincerely hope you will consider joining the Seekers meetings to explore Faith in many dimensions. Meetings are kept to one hour.

Hope you will join us!

Beth Shelby,
Faith Development

Family Day Service
Sunday, October 15th

"Our outdoor worship service will be held at 10 o'clock on the Fellowship Hall patio and will be an inclusive celebration of families, those formed by blood, by marriage, and by choice.  Families also include our pets and other living creatures that receive our love, attention and care.

The congregation is encouraged to bring photos of family members who are not able to be present for the celebration, and pets, either on leash or in carrier, or photographs of those will not be attending.

The service will include a pet blessing and treat bags with a "blessing to go" will be offered at the end of service that can be shared with pet friends and neighbors.

Creation Care will have a display table of books about our indigenous neighbors, their historical sites here in Arizona, children's books, and more.  These books are  available from our Room 12 library, maintained by Faith Development.

Congregational Life will offer cookie packs "to go" and Justice and Witness will be serving fair trade Just Coffee, with bags of the coffee to purchase for home brewing."
