Pastor’s book discussion group Pastor Steve facilitates a series of book discussions focused on some of the latest titles he's been reading in the biblical/spiritual/justice/theological categories. We meet on the 2^nd and 4^th Wednesday morning each month at 8 am and 4 pm. Check the church calendar for the current book title. Scripture study for everyone. Want a safe way to explore the bible?  Join our Director of Christian Education, John Angiulo on Thursday mornings at 10 AM as we walk through the bible one book at a time.  Reading, discussing and questioning we learn from each other.   Your questions are welcome here. Small group study Throughout the year we have opportunities to question, and grow individually and as a community. Our topics are as diverse as our interests. Some topics we’ve explored include the issue of immigration and its place in our history and present culture, progressive Christianity, death and dying, spirituality and aging, our Christian response to our culture of consumerism. We don't have all the answers, so we welcome the questioner.  Check our Calendar of Events for current topics and times.

Children and Youth

Our 9 am worship service provides a chance for children 9 and older  to experience a more casual worship service by remaining with their families in the worship service held in our Fellowship Hall at 9 AM.  This less formal service offers a brief period of reflection and discussion following the sermon.  Communion is served every Sunday. Childcare is provided for children 8 and younger.

Children’s church school  meets  every Sunday for children ages 3 years through 5th grade during the 10:30 AM worship time.  Our team teachers and excellent curriculum make classes interestingly and exciting. Infant care is provided for children younger than 3. 

 

Youth Group, the FIRE Rincon's youth group includes anyone in 5th grade through 12th grade.  They meet Sunday mornings at 10:30 to share their personal faith journeys, monthly for fun activities, and regularly for service projects. The FIRE begins worship with their families. After the scripture reading they head to the Youth Room for discussion and planning. Our youth take an active role in planning their service projects, picking the discussion topics and directing their fun activities.

Children of all ages are welcome to remain in worship with their families.
